Join the Council

Join a growing community of manufacturers and associate members who support mid-Michigan’s manufacturing tradition.  Benefits of membership include:

  • Information and knowledge exchange (“free consulting”) with members at meetings and seminars
  • Participation in the members “email networking community” to realize business opportunities from local manufacturers and find solutions to everyday challenges faced by manufacturers and other organizations
  • Use of data from the council’s annual wage and compensation survey
  • Connections to subject matter experts in worker safety, healthcare, worker’s compensation and other business cost areas
  • Access to experts who inform members about information on government grants for training and other programs
  • Direct linkages to Lansing Community College’s M-TEC and Business and Community Institute (BCI), the region’s “just in time” business training center
  • Strong ties to the Michigan Works! System for assistance with worker screening and hiring, including services related to the WorkKeys System, a region wide workforce improvement initiative
  • Input about the services, functions and future of the new manufacturing council

Associate members enjoy these benefits and are key participants in this manufacturing partnership.  The primary benefit, however, results from networking with the manufacturing leadership from the Capital area.  Associate members also bring expertise to the council and may advise manufacturers on how to address issues pertaining to business costs, services and training.

Donations and dues provided to CAMC are tax deductible.  CAMC is currently a component of Capital Area Michigan Works!, a local unit of government established under Public Act 7.

Membership will expire September 30, 2006 if not renewed.
