Work Opportunity Tax Credit
The federal legislature has extended the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) until August 31, 2018. Employers are encouraged to add this WOTC form to their new hire packets for every new hire. When the person they hire qualifies and the company turns in the paperwork before the deadline, the company gets a tax credit! WOTC can reduce an employer’s federal income tax liability by as much as $9,600 per employee hired.
